Today I could do nothing but fidget in my seat from the heat (but also from the fact that I had not started my project and presentation due tomorrow…). Alas, that is why I am posting so late. Although I would love to say my project is done, I cannot. I’ve still got quite a bit of editing to do, which means an even earlier morning for me. Woo.
Do you ever have that outfit, or those shorts, or that shirt that when you put it on you just feel good? These pants are exactly that. They fit well, they’re comfortable, I can wear them lounging around or even to the Fashion Institute of Technology… If I could wear them every day, trust me, I would.

Song of the day: Yet another song I have been absolutely obsessed with while commuting to and from New York City: “The Middle” by We The Kings
While relaxing this morning in front of the TV, I found myself watching the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown. I subconcsiously listened to the music while playing around on my phone. When I heard them introduce Sara Bareilles’ new song my attention was immediately drawn to the TV. I immediately fell in love with her new song “Brave” and found myself dancing along to the catchy music video. I thought this song was perfect for the song of the day for today because in the music video, Sara wears black and white printed pants similar to mine! How perfect! On that note, I think I am developing an unhealthy obsession with printed pants…

I can honestly say the most amazing museum exhibit I’ve ever been to was the Alexander McQueen “Savage Beauty” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. My aunt and I were lead through the exhibit which was full of some of McQueens most incredible pieces. I was in absolute awe. Of course, I wanted to buy something in the gift shop to remind me of the exhibit. As my friends and family would know, I have an embarrassingly large t-shirt collection, so it was no surprise to my aunt when I picked out the black tee to add to the overflowing shelf in my closet. It was a simple tee: black, short sleeved, with minimal writing. “Savage Beauty- Alexander McQueen”
When my neighbor dropped off these Zara harem pants at my house last weekend I instantly fell in love. I thought my beloved McQueen tee would be the perfect match for these wildly printed pants: not too plain, not too busy.

My friend Landy and I both showed up to school in harem pants… how ironic!
