Runway shows hold a special place in my heart. No matter how familiar you are with a designer and their aesthetic, whatever comes down the runway will have a new twist and a new vibe. I got to watch an insane amount of runway shows last week at Style Fashion Week LA, and it was quite exciting. I got to cross a few things off my bucket list (54, 73) and I got to take in all the fashion. Not too shabby. Above are some of my favorite looks and designers from the October 15th shows. Nina B Roze is famous for creating athletic wear with a heart-shaped seam on the butt of their leggings. The show was filled with muted prints and mesh panels. The next show was Anjé, a New York designer, and the show was incredible. Her show was probably only one of a few shows where I could actually see myself wearing some of the things that were being shown on the runway. The last show, by designer Maggie Barry, was probably the most eccentric show of the night. A majority of the show had two models walk down the runway together, which was something I had never seen before. The clothes were fun and full of this light blue face-print. The shoes were killer, too.

As for me, I borrowed clothes from my roommate (which became a trend throughout Style Fashion Week LA, as you will see). This dress is from Aritzia and I’m obsessed with it. I’m always wary of midi-length dresses and skirts, but I think I loved the back of this dress and the color so much that I forgot about the length. It also helped that I was wearing my trusty ASOS flatforms, which made me look just that much taller and just that much more able to pull off a midi-length dress.
