Sure, snow is pretty to look at. It’s peaceful when the flurries are carried by the wind, up and down and around in circles. It’s quiet. I like looking at snow. Being in the snow, however, is a bit of a different story. I’ve never liked feeling cold and I have never liked wearing winter coats; that’s not a good mix of preferences if you ask me. I don’t own winter boots or rain boots (or any kind of practical shoes for that matter) so walking around in the snow requires slow steps and serious skill. So when it snows, I am far from prepared. It’s too bad that walking around in footie-pajamas all day is looked down upon…
“Santa Barbara” by Nick Jonas. This song, available solely on Nick’s full album (which is terrific by the way), sums up everything I need in my life right now. It’s calm – who doesn’t need something calming to listen to? It’s
warm hot – Santa Barbara just screams warmth. It’s steady – it’s perfect for putting on repeat for hours on end during study sessions. I’ve been there and done that more than a few times this week. Check out this acoustic version.
Peace n Blessings
