We’ve seen it on the runways, we’ve seen it on celebs, and we’ve seen it in the magazines: grunge is back. Although I’m not such a fan of the stereotypical grunge look, I’m a huge fan of what some people call soft grunge.
Today was my first dress-down day at school, a day where my school gets dressed in “normal people clothes” and donates money to charity. I honestly could not wait to wear my new boots from Wet Seal. I have always loved Doc Martens but they were always too expensive or too intense for me. When I saw these boots and 3 other pairs displayed in an Instagram post from Wet Seal, I knew I had to get my hands on them. Today, I paired the grungy boots with a sparkly collared button down to soften the boots, and added a big comfy sweater and a top-knot bun to pull it all together.

Song of the Day: Lately I have been obsessing over the British “soft grunge” group The 1975, and their new self titled album. My favorites are “Chocolate” and “She Way Out”.
