London Loving

Pretty much for the past year and a half I had been slowly falling in love with a city I had never been to. The architecture, the people, the fashion, the music, the accents, the food- everything. I fell absolutely in love. Last week I was fortunate enough to visit London, and I honestly had the time of my life.

From the minute I stepped onto the tube from Heathrow Airport on the way to the flat, I loved London. I sat down in a comfy tube seat, pulled out my phone and plugged in my headphones. The first person to join us on the nearly empty tube heading to Piccadilly Circus was a man walking in Prada’s and looking through Ray Bans. He had a casual blazer on and blue chinos. And that was only the start. The whole trip was filled with style.

The first day I took a classic double decker bus tour around all the touristy sights: Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Bridge, the Tower of London, Oxford Street, etc. We hopped off first at Oxford Street to grab a bite to eat. We found the most amazing little cafe and had an amazing lunch. I had a chicken pesto, sun dried tomato and green sandwich on a toasted baguette.

Doesn’t it look just delicious??

The second day my friend and I went to watch the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Buckingham Palace and then set off to Oxford Street for some shopping! The third day we visited the V & A museum and then hit up Covent Gardens at night. That afternoon we visited Harrods. We got lost in the couture section, and then lost again in the luggage section. Everything was so magical in Harrods; the gowns were gorgeous and even the pizza maker sang for the people eating out that night! The morning of the fourth day we went to Camden Market and walked through the shops (in the crazy snow, may I add) and then left for Ireland!

I saw some beautiful sights and crossed a few things off my bucket list while I was there!

That was the view outside the flat I stayed in!

I got to cross two things off my bucket list while in London: go thrift shopping and take a photo in a telephone both!IMG_2123

While shopping on Oxford street I bought some new pieces and I am absolutely in LOVE with them all!

I bought this dress from Urban Outfitters on sale. I adore it and I can’t wait to wear it.

Also at Urban Outfitters I bought some high waisted swim bottoms. I know I’m a little early for summer but I just loved them!

Next, we hit up H&M. I bought this sequined skirt on sale.

I bought this red sweater also with an awesome back detail!

At Camden Market on Saturday morning I scored these sunglasses which I absolutely adore!

Also at Camden Market I scored these rings from a Divided by H&M store on the street. Screen shot 2013-03-24 at 6.32.19 PM

In one of the market shops I bought this infinity scarf to keep me warm. It was crazy snowing!

And here are two of my biggest regrets: not buying these pieces!

These H&M ombre pants fit me like a glove, but in the dressing room I didn’t absolutely fall in love with them. I was picky about the rise of the waist and whether I would wear them or not.  Now that it’s too late, I’ve fallen in love. Typical me.

Next, there is this Topshop dress with an open back. I fell in LOVE in the dressing room but couldn’t muster up the large amount of money it costed. I wish I had just splurged…

My last night in London I got a proper fish n chip meal with a deep fried MARS bar for desert. I was in heaven. I can honestly say that I’ve fallen in love with London and everything about it. The beautiful city, the history, the people, everything. I can’t wait to go back and maybe even live there someday.

Peace n British blessings
